I have a really special relationship with soups. Always when I am eating a soup I wonder why I didn’t cook a soup for such a long time. But at the same timeI never have a soup craving. So thats why I have to convince myself to make some soup sometimes. Well I decided it is time for some soup again and it had to be quick and easy.Because I had some peas and potatoes over I decided to make pea soup. What should I say? It tastes delicious! Do a have a soup craving now? No! Why? I have no idea?!

Ingredients (serves 2)

200 g potatoes
200 g carrots
2 onions
1 garlic glove
1 tbsp olive oil
1 liter vegetable stock
200 g peas (deep frozen)
½ tsp marjoram (dried)
½ tsp basil (dried)
Salt and pepper



Peel and dice potatoes and carrots in little cubes. Peel and chop onions and garlic. Put a saucepan on a medium heat and add oil. Add onion and garlic and let it cook for 2 minutes. Than, add vegetable stock, potatoes and carrots. Turn the heat down to medium and let it all cook for 20 minutes.

Add peas and let it cook for another 10 minutes. Add herbs, salt and pepper. Blend the soup and bring the soup to the boil.
