Apple Crumble

Apple crumble (2)Hoe does not love apple crumble? You just need a few ingredients for this very tasty dessert.


1 apple
25 g ground oats
50 g wholemeal spelt flour
2 tbsp coconut sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon
40 g coconut oil
½ tsp coconut oil (for baking dish)
2 tsp peanut butter (without sugar)



Put the flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon in a bowl, slice in the coconut oil and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture looks like moist breadcrumbs. Place the crumbls in the refrigerator and chill for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180C. Peal, core and cube the apple. Oil 2 small, round baking dish. Toss the apple in the baking dish. Top it with the peanut butter and pour the crumb mix over the apple. Set on a baking tray and put in the preheated oven for 10 – 15 minutes, until the top is golden and the apples feel very soft when you insert a small, sharp knife. Leave to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
