Summer is slowly coming to its end and I confess. I don’t lik summer. I love autumn and spring. I also enjoy winter. But I never made friends with summer. Therefore I am very happy that autumn is coming soon. And to celebrate that I made a vegan tarte flambee. I was a bit lazy so I used pre-packaged pizza crusts. But I highly recommend using homemade pizza dough. The taste is much better and of coures it is more healthy! By the way I made some new cooking videos. How do you like them?
Ingredients (serves 2)
For the white sauce, wash and chop onion. Mix 100 ml almond milk with wholemeal spelt flour. Heat a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the oil. Add onion and cook it for 1-2 minutes. Than add 100 ml almond milk, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Bring to the boil. Add flour-almond milk mixture and let the sauce sit to thicken.
Mix mustard with agave syrup. Put the pizza dough on a baking sheet with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 200C.
Wash and dice tomatoes and remove stalk parts. Clean and slice mushrooms. Peel and slice onion.
Put the mustard sauce on the pizza dough. Than, put the white sauce on it. Top it with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and pine nuts. Bake the tarte flambee for about 15-20 minutes.
